DARREN & JANELLE LUCIANNA
First, a tiny plant.
Then, a whole garden.
A growing obsession that outgrew the house.

A different way
to grow.
Darren became fascinated by plant propagation and tissue culture: growing plants from tiny pieces of plant tissue. He learned from research, nurseries and commercial growers.
Test tubes.
Books. Markets.
He sold his test-tube plants online, wrote two books on the process, and traveled to farmers markets with Janelle. Soon, their home was full of plants.
Room to grow,
in downtown Stanwood.
They got the store keys in January and opened on Valentine's Day. What began with plants grew into a place for art, learning and community.
